Board Meeting Dates:

Board of Director Meetings are held at ARPS at 4:00pm unless otherwise noted.

All meetings are open to the public.

There will be a public comment portion at the beginning of each regular Board meeting. Anyone who wishes to address the board must sign up prior to the meeting being called to order. Each speaker will be limited to three minutes and the Board may not comment during that time. Once the public comment portion has ended, the Board will resume the meeting and public participation ends. If a matter arises from the public comment portion of the meeting that requires Board discussion and/or action, the matter will be addressed when appropriate in upcoming meetings.

First Grade visited the Butterfly Pavilion today and enjoyed a wonderful time at the facility! Thanks to the parents who helped to chaperone, our supportive teachers and a great group of kids thirsty for knowledge.

Our third grade students came through the TCAP Reading test with flying colors. Their scores of 92% proficient and advanced landed them at 5th of the 32 elementary schools reporting in the St. Vrain district. The remaining TCAP scores for 3, 4 and 5 will be released in August. On my way to the "Tribute to Teachers" evening to honor our talented ARPS teachers. Our Encore teacher of the year is Ms. Karyn Hogan, with Ali Vanek and Lindsey Fedick as runner-ups. A heartfelt thanks to the dedicated Apsen Ridge parents who wrote nomination letters for our teachers! Congratulations to Ms. Hogan for receiving a well deserved honor.

Aspen ridge is having an all day fundraiser at Chick-fil-a today. No need to cook dinner- --take the whole family to Chick-fil-a. Or, keep them cozy at home and bring take out! Mark your calendar for Wednesday, April 24th, for the Chamber After Hours Aspen Ridge Showcase event. This is an evening for Erie Chamber members to visit our school along with parents, students and community members. The school will be open for walk-throughs with an all school art show on display. Members of our after school string classes will be playing in duets and trios around the school. Treats will be available in the cafeteria. The event runs from 5:30 to 7:30 and is a great chance to wander our terrific little school and enjoy the fruits of our students' labor. Whoa...how can I thank auction supporters without recognizing our wonderful and very funny auctioneers, Jeff Maracchini and TJ Willard. They were amazing. Our Silent Auction event last Saturday was a huge success. Many of you were creatively dressed for the "Puttin' on the Ritz" theme and everyone attending was in the spirit of giving to support the school. A huge shout out to Jen Willard and Megan Schimmelpfennig for their tireless work to pull off the grand affair. Also big thanks to Kristen Rhudy for securing the venue and arranging child care. Thanks to the many parents who worked behind the scenes, and a special thank-you to Beth Langer who was instrumental in creating many special baskets and projects. Ms. Richau, who has been serving as Interim Principal of ARPS, was named Principal of ARPS by a unanimous vote of the ARPS Board of Directors on Wednesday evening! Ms. Richau came to us with many years of experience in education, both as a teacher and a district level director. She was hired as a kindergarten teacher at ARPS during our inaugural year and then appointed as Interim Principal of ARPS prior to the beginning of this school year. Ms. Richau has proven to be a warm, effective administrator for our growing school and we are very lucky to have her!Friday Apr 12 - 6:08am
