Preschool Program

Welcome to Aspen Ridge Preschool

At Aspen Ridge we recognize the importance of a quality early childhood experience for all children and value a strong partnership with families.  We realize that children learn both at home and at school, therefore our program is family focused and facilitates child learning in all developmental areas (cognitive, language, physical and social emotional) and content areas (literacy, math, social studies, science, and the arts).

The purpose of the Aspen Ridge Preschool Program is to provide a high quality early childhood experience for your child in a safe, supporting and stimulating environment where children develop and progress in a fun, developmentally appropriate curriculum.  One of the main goals of the preschool program is to instill the love of learning and prepare children for Kindergarten.  Your child will participate in a preschool curriculum that promotes learning through play and discovery, as teachers support children's pre-academic progress while respecting the ways they grow and develop.  Parental involvement is an integral part of the preschool program.

CLASSES OFFERED

Preschool 3s
Three-year-old children are busy and curious!  Our goal is to channel these wonderful behaviors and guide them into a world of learning.  The main goal of our preschool program is to instill the love of learning and practice pre-school skills (such as listening, following directions, self-regulation, and social interactions).  Preschool 3's meets three times per week.

The 3-day class focuses on social interaction, language development, fine and gross motor activities.  Class size is limited to 14.  For the 2023-24 school year, preschool students must be three years old by September 1st, 2023.  Students MUST be potty trained.

Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday
Mornings Only: 8:20am - 11:05am

Pre-K 4s
Four-year-old children are ready to be independent and are becoming more aware of the world around them.  Pre-K classes allow children to expand skills including independent decision making, beginning reading activities, writing, science, and math concepts.  Children will learn to better manage social interaction and cooperative play, creating greater independence and preparing them for kindergarten.  Our Pre-kindergarten program emphasizes instilling a love of learning while preparing students for Kindergarten.  This includes continuing to practice and build school skills such as task persistence, working memory, and school day stamina.

For the 2023-24 school year, Pre-K students must be four years old by October 1st, 2023.  Class size is limited to 16.

Parents have a choice between a morning OR afternoon session.
Pre-K Classes meet four days per week, Monday-Thursday

Morning Session: 8:15am - 11:00am
Afternoon Session: 12:15pm - 3:00pm

We are using an online platform called brightwheel to process all preschool payments this year. Autopay is required through brightwheel, and can be set up through the brightwheel website. If you don't yet have a brightwheel account, please create an account, then set up autopay.

Fee assistance, reduced fee amounts, and deferred monthly fee payment plans are available to all families who have fallen on hard times.  To avoid disruption in the enrollment of your student, contact the Business Office before the last day of the month fee(s) is due.

Please also note that we are partnering with the state of Colorado in the Universal Preschool Program (UPK) for the 24-25 academic school year. While this is not a mandatory program, all current and newly enrolled families with children in our four-year-old PreK program will have the opportunity to receive up to 12 hours a week of funding through the state of Colorado (ie the school's tuition that is required for all enrolled students will be covered through the State's UPK programming). The caveat to benefit from this program is that families are required to enroll their family through the state's online registration process. This registration process does NOT go through Aspen Ridge directly. The document below outlines the steps to be taken to enroll in this program. Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we navigate this new opportunity together.
