Our National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) members are a shining example of leadership, service, scholarship, and citizenship at Aspen Ridge. These 7th and 8th grade students work hard to maintain strong GPAs, model positive behavior for their peers, and give back to our community in meaningful ways throughout the year.
On campus, NJHS members lend a hand with everything from Campus Cleanup and Flag Raising/Lowering to assisting teachers with projects that keep our school running smoothly. Beyond our walls, their service extends into the wider community, making blankets for Project Warm-Up, collecting food for Erie Uplink, and volunteering their time for countless local causes.
In addition to their volunteer work, our NJHS students organize fundraisers throughout the year, such as selling concessions at games and hosting Grateful Gram sales (coming up next week!). Ever wondered where those funds go? In just the past few years, NJHS has helped purchase uniforms for our volleyball and basketball teams, new soccer goals for the turf, a podium for assemblies and speakers, and even the Little Free Library in front of the school.
Their most recent project is one they’re especially proud of: installing a feminine hygiene dispenser in the middle school girls’ restroom. Not only did NJHS fund the machine itself, but they are also committed to keeping it stocked with free supplies for students. It’s a small but meaningful way they’re helping make life a little easier for their peers.
We are so proud of our Aspen Ridge NJHS students for leading with kindness, generosity, and heart. Their efforts truly lift up our entire school community!
