Cathy Hellbaum and her husband, Bruce, moved to Longmont 3 1/2 years ago from Wyoming. Cathy grew up in Rapid City, South Dakota and attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie obtaining a B.S. in Computer Science. She and Bruce married in 1986 and moved to Wheatland where they lived for 29 years raising their two daughters. Cathy was a stay-at-home mom until her girls started grade school. She worked part-time as the Parish Administrator of their church for 11 years. Once she and Bruce became "empty-nesters", Cathy began working full-time for the Platte County Clerk of the District Court. Cathy was very involved in their community, church and schools serving as PTO President for many years, helping to get a new middle school built, and starting a 501(c)(3) that emphasized after school programs, summer activities and team building/anti-bullying programs for youth.
Cathy and Bruce's oldest daughter, Paige lives in Buffalo, Wyoming and works as a biologist for Absoraka Energy and Environmental Solutions. Cathy's younger daughter, McKenzie Graham and her husband Josh, are both pharmacists living and working in Riverton, Wyoming.
