Ms. Mariska joined the Aspen Ridge family nearly two years ago as a lunchroom assistant and substitute teacher, and this year she’s excited to be part of the special education team as Special Education Para K-8! She was born and raised in South Africa and came to the United States as a post graduate exchange student with both Ohio State University and the University of California (Riverside) in 2001 and enjoyed the research so much that she stayed for many years. She received degrees in Conservation and Agricultural Management from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in South Africa. Ms. Mariska has two children attending Aspen Ridge and loves being a part of the school family. In her spare time she enjoys reading, spending time in nature, and doing arts and crafts with her kids.
